Earth Day! Friends of Sax-Zim Bog preserves and protects northern Minnesota bogs as “forever homes” for their unique flora and fauna, and for carbon sequestration which is critical to climate change mitigation. Head Naturalist Clinton Dexter-Nienhaus plays a major role in those efforts and will join us to share the magic of the Bog with his boundless enthusiasm and expertise in natural history. He’ll highlight the “bogversity" of field and classroom educational activities he plans and leads each year, focusing on critters from liverworts and lichens to tiger beetles and tamarack boletes and, of course, birds. He’ll also explore the importance of bog preservation to limiting climate change.

Woven Basket: To support our congregation's mission, please contribute to the operating fund and Woven Basket via Give. The Woven Basket recipient for April is WE Clinic. The WE Health Clinic (formerly Women’s Health Center) offers respectful, safe, affordable, high-quality reproductive healthcare in a caring, empathetic setting. WE is the only provider of abortion services in Minnesota outside of the Twin Cities.
