Inclusive. Joyful. Reflective. Nourishing.

Our weekly Sunday morning worship service is inclusive, joyful, reflective, and nourishing. Children are a vital part of our village and all ages are invited to join us for this cherished hour to gather in community. We gather in worship to find meaning and live more deeply. Worship creates connections within, among, and beyond us, calling us to our better selves, calling us to live with wisdom and compassion.

What can I expect?

Elements of a typical Sunday morning  service include:

  • Words of welcome

  • Lighting our flaming chalice, the symbol of our faith.

  • A story or interactive activity.

  • Music, both instrumental and vocal, and in a variety of styles.

  • A time for lifting up the joys and concerns of the congregation.

  • A meditation or prayer.

  • Readings—ancient or contemporary.

  • A sermon given by our minister, a guest speaker, or a member of the congregation.

  • An offering, collecting financial donations for the congregation and for justice work in the community.

Our services also incorporate holiday celebrations, multigenerational plays and pageants, longer musical performances, child dedications, coming-of-age ceremonies, and other interactive elements.

What about my kids?

Children of all ages are welcome to join us for worship. Like adults, children learn by doing and experiencing first-hand. Whether they understand everything that happens in the service or not, our youngest friends will absorb the language and music of our faith, as well as the sense of being valued, known, and welcomed. And don’t worry about squirms or chatter - these are signs that our community is growing and thriving.

Elementary children who have registered for Religious Education will be excused to class following the Time for All Ages.

What if I need to move my body?

We have “soul work” activities available to all ages offering quiet, kinesthetic activities such as knitting, coloring, clay, and wikki-stix for use during the service. You are also welcome to walk or stretch in the back of the sanctuary as needed. This is your time to honor your needs.

What accommodations do you offer?

We have assistive listening devices, large print hymnals, and large print Orders of Service available for all who need them. Our building is wheelchair accessible. If you need other accommodations to attend a Sunday service , please don’t hesitate to contact us and we’ll be sure to get you the support you need.

What happens after worship?

Each worship service is followed by a casual, friendly social hour with coffee, hot chocolate, and refreshments.
